Hello everyone!! Transfers happened....my new companion is Sister McKim!! She's from Redding, California, her mom is from Taiwan and her dad is American! She's the same generation as my trainer Sister Austad. She's literally amazing, she's so funny!! Sister Hickenlooper left on Friday morning and Sister McKim got here on Thursday morning, so we got to be in a really fun tripanionship for a day!!
This week was
awesome!! We were able to meet with Gao Pei Chen's sister and she set a
baptismal date!! She's so amazing and the coolest thing is that if she has any
questions she can ask her sister. (Literally such an amazing missionary)
We also met
with Gao Pei Chen's friend Li Jia Ling and she was also willing to set a
baptism date and to start really praying and reading for an answer. I can truly
testify of ward members influence, member work is really the best!
Bai Xia Nian
also set a date, she's doing awesome and her sister is really coming along!!
She's honestly so cute and she loves to read the scriptures and they pray as a
family....ahhhhh I love them.
We have really
been trying to member work and get the members going on missionary work.
Yesterday we met with two members who are pumped for missionary work. One has
given a Book of Mormon to a young man and he's meeting with the missionaries,
and the same member has also started working to share the gospel with her
husband.
It's also been
raining like crazy here still, it feels like the clouds cannot stop pouring
rain down on us. But it makes it so funny because everyone just sees us
missionaries in our rain gear biking like crazy. The good thing is, since it's
raining it's not hot!! The summer is just barely coming and I am going to die
people.
Sorry I don't
have as many pictures this time, but here we are a tripanionship eating Sister
Hickenlooper's favorite thing...stinky tofu.
This week for
pday we are going ice skating!!
