A week of toiling = a week of miracles

This week was amazing but it was SO MUCH WORK. It was all worth it though! We dropped a lot of investigators and we were feeling like we were trying our hardest to do this work but nothing was working. We started constantly praying for our area and we fasted all in hopes of God's help in finding the prepared. We learned a cool thing in mission conference a while back where when we toil (work endlessly even through the night) God will help us! HE TOTALLY DID IT WAS AMAZING. Where to even start....

One of our investigators Bai Meimei made a huge turn around! Her mom is a member and she was so scared to get baptized, we were super scared because their whole family went to Australia and we weren't able to meet with them for two weeks...turns out they needed it because their whole family made some progress!! Bai Meimei said she's been praying and that she wants baptism and God has been helping her to feel not scared. Her sister (who wasn't super interested) and her both started teaching their dad (who doesn't believe in God) how to pray!! IT WAS AMAZING.

Gao Pei Chen is also getting baptized this Saturday!!! I am so excited! She is literally so amazing and was so willing to sacrifice time to meet with us. She is also so willing to do missionary work, on Saturday she brought her sister to a temple tour and then on Sunday they both came to the new member fireside! She said that she's already started talking to her family about the Book of Mormon and we are so excited to start talking to her more about how to share the gospel! (We also are going to start teaching her sister!)

Member work is also just literally the best, one of the RC's here (Zhong Ya Zhu) brought one of her friends to church yesterday and has been sharing how this gospel changed her life to this friend. The friend decided she wanted this peace and change in her life so she came with her son to church and then after church we were able to meet with them. It was a miracle lesson and we were able to set a baptismal date with her! I LOVE MEMBERS THEY ARE THE TRUE MISSIONARIES.

Nonspiritual things:

So in Bai Meimei's lesson it was so funny because we were trying to share something about Christ and Sister Hickenlooper and I both said something at the same time. I said 耶穌基督是我們的哥哥 (Christ is our older brother)  and she said 耶穌基督是神的兒子 (Christ is God's son) but then Sister Hickenlooper didn't know which one Bai Meimei heard so she said 對耶穌基督是我們的鴿子 which means Christ is our pigeon. Needless to say we all laughed.

We also had some crazy rain storms here, we biked through like six inches of water on this huge road that was like flooded (don't worry it wasn't too dangerous) I have literally never in my life seen SO  MUCH RAIN !!!

Sorry for the mass amount of pictures but it encompasses us at the dragon boat race festival. We also got these amazing mango smoothies and it was SO WINDY. We also ate at this mango shaved ice place...what else....oh yeah the bus was literally SO PACKED on the way back to the MRT. We also got locked in a school when we were teaching one of our investigators. Like we heard the gate closing and we were like NOOOOOO.
