Hello all!! We
finally got to watch conference this past weekend (because of translation and
stuff we watch it a week later) but it was so good and it's so cool to see how
when you go in with questions they can be answered!!
First off this
past week we had a barbecue for 中秋節 (mid-autumn
moon festival) it was so much fun! This past week we have literally seen so
many people barbecuing on the streets. It just smells like grilled meat
everywhere you go! Anyways, our ward was awesome and threw a huge barbecue and
we invited all of our investigators and LA's to go. It was a huge miracle to
see how many people came and how well our ward was at making them feel welcome!
It was really cool to see one of the LA's we've been working with bring one of
her co-workers to the barbecue! Our ward is just so amazing and supports
missionaries so much!
We are actually
really excited for our ward, in two weeks us missionaries are throwing a
huge fireside for our ward all about how to do missionary work and how to work
with us! We are really going to try and involve the ward as much as possible to
get them to feel and realize that we are all working towards the same goal! I
thought it was really cool how General Conference talked about sharing the
gospel and how we must be proactive in sharing it!! Share the joy!!!!
We met with
Mendy this week and it was so cool!! She really liked the idea of the plan of
salvation and she said she was willing to work towards a goal of baptism (even
though she said she previously had been baptized!)
Our mission has
been really trying to work on having "gospel discussions" on the
streets when contacting and it's been working really well! We went finding
yesterday in a park and we were really trying to use power lessons to help
people understand the doctrinal point. We got some pretty cool setups with
people and we are excited for this week and the people we are set to teach!

thoughts:
The barbecue
was so fun, but they kept feeding us and feeding us until we burst. I am so
thankful for Elders that can eat a lot because they saved our lives when
members would keep putting more and more meat into our bowls. I am pretty sure
our Elders' stomachs were about to explode but they are still alive so they're
fine....吧
Our bishop had
his daughter do his hair at this FHE for the YSA and it was so funny. He was
like posing for the pictures with his daughter.
Sister Chu is
so cute and so funny, i made her pose with the pomelo I drew on for her. She
picked the darkest one cause she's like...this one is me. I drew it sleepy
looking with a band-aid cause she keeps getting hurt. She needs bubble
wrap.
We had two
birthday's this past weekend!! Elder Nelson, our district leader, had his
birthday yesterday and my sweet Sister Chu had her's on Saturday! Our district
threw a small party for them during dinner on Friday (right before we did this
board game activity for our investigators). It was so funny cause Sister
Christensen and i went out to grab the cake and the only knife we could really
find in the church was this huge butcher knife...so we are walking back into
the room singing happy birthday and I whip out this huge knife mid song and
everyone is just like
