The week of BAPTISM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN I LOVE YOU!!!!

I LITERALLY LOVE MY WARD THEY ARE SO AWESOME. Okay in other news it has been raining a lot the past couple of days oh and so much wind. SO MUCH WIND. This week was amazing!!!! AHH ZHONGLI IS LITERALLY SO COOL.

Miracles:

So....Xu Shu Rong's baptism was set for 7 o'clock. The day before she had told us that she was going to be in Taizhong that day and that she would try and make it back as early as possible. 6:30 pm passes, the time that we had set with her to come so we could get her into her baptism clothes and take some pictures, and my companion and I start getting antsy. The ward starts showing up along with other missionaries and their investigators, 6:50 pm rolls by and there's no sign of her. 7:00 pm and our WML starts asking where she is, we call her and she says that she's in someone's car and that the rain has caused a lot of traffic. 15 more minutes roll by and everyone is just talking in the hallway, the water in the font starts getting cold and so the Elders decide to drain part of it and put some more water in it. 7:20 pm and we hear one of the Elders go "THE WATER" we quickly go see what's wrong and we see that the font was too full and it had started to flow back into the bathroom!!!!! We get it cleaned it up and started draining some of the water out, 7:30 pm and we see this motor scooter in the front of our church with someone getting off of it. The rain was coming down really hard so it was kind of hard to see, we see this person with brown moccasins, a sparkly gold helmet, and a giant pink poncho on getting off their scooter.  We start questioning if it's her, I call out her name but she doesn't turn around, my companion decided that "It's not her, that's an ama (old grandma)!" Two seconds later the pink poncho lady turns around IT'S XU SHU RONG. We run over to her and help her grab her stuff, we hurry and have her change into her baptism clothing and we get a move on upstairs to start. We went downstairs for the actual baptism and all of us were super excited, we open up the back door to the font and as she starts walking into the font we realize...THE WATER ONLY WENT KNEE DEEP. The water had drained TOO MUCH. Our trusty trainee Elder Cooke was a trooper though and baptized her in one try! The rest of the baptism went smoothly so that was good.

Our member also brought a friend to church!!! We had invited him two weeks ago to try and bring a friend to an activity and then yesterday he walked into church and I made eye contact with him and was like...where's your friend?? (We didn't know if he was going to bring one or not) and he's like she's on her way!! IT WAS SO AWESOME and we are set up to meet with her tomorrow. Also that member went with all of us missionaries English finding and he thought it was super fun. He's such a cool RC.

We also met with a a potential on Saturday and she was so cool. She had said that she had liked to learn so we were just like do you want to learn the coolest thing ever? So we set up with her and then on Saturday she had told us how she had decided that day to look for a Christian church to join and it was fate that we had met her that night while she was working out. She was super willing to believe and we set a baptism date with her! She also came to all three hours of church yesterday and loved it! She's so cool!!!

Nonspiritual stuff:

So....we are heading out the door and get to the elevator, the doors close and we are talking to each other.....two minutes pass and then we realize that it is taking way too long for the elevator to go from the fourth floor to the main floor. I look over and realize that WE DIDN'T PUSH THE FLOOR ONE BUTTON SO HERE WE ARE JUST CHILLING ON THE FOURTH FLOOR IN THE ELEVATOR.

So a ward member was taking some pictures with me, but the app she was using enlarges your eyes too but it made my eyes TOO BIG and so I looked like a creepy alien. She told me to just close my eyes to about 1/4 open instead.

It has been so humid lately that people have been asking us if it is raining but then my companion and I are just like nope...that's just sweat.
