I can't believe
I have already been here for one transfer!! I am still in Xizhi since I am being training, but we moved apartments!! It was
definitely an adventure because President wanted us moved into our new
apartment in one day! Our office Elders and our district Elders are champs
because they helped us move all of our main stuff in around 4 1/2 hours!! We
still have to deep clean the old apartment but other than that we are all
good!! The new apartment is all new and nice and wow it's a dream!! When we
cleaned out our old apartment (kind of lewl) it was so gross!!! There were
years and years of old missionary stuff that were left in there. Our old apartment had gone
through Elders and Sisters for many many years so...it was pretty old apartment.
Miracles:
Next week is
going to be a whirlwind!! If everything works out, we might have four baptisms
next Saturday!!!!! One of them is Cai Jiating, we are doing everything we can
to help them feel prepared for baptism. They were originally supposed to be
baptized this Saturday but they don't feel all the way ready yet so we are
pushing it to next week and teaching them a little more. We met with the wife
earlier last Thursday and we had an amazing lesson. We answered all of her
questions that she was worried about, and my companion and I are confident that
she is ready for baptism.
We also had the
baptismal interview for Sherry who is a 16 year old and she passed her
interview!! She's for sure getting baptized on the 25th of February!!! AHHHHHH.
She has an amazing testimony and she always comes to church even when she is
overloaded with homework.
Liu Jiemei also
came to church, she is the most hardworking mom I have ever met. She works
everyday from 9 am to 9 pm as a Realtor and then goes home to a daughter who
kind of thinks she's a cat. (that's a story for a different email) She is
taking the lessons super well, and we only have a few lessons left with her
so...if we can meet with her often enough she will also be baptized on the 25th
of February!
Nonspiritual
things:
When we moved
we found three hula hoops, a set of rusty weights, a pull up bar, a bat, 5
fans, 4 umbrellas, and a set of rusty tools.
When we left
Songshan we took some cardboard with us so we could move all of our stuff. but
we didn't take it normal people style oh no....we took it AMA (Old lady that
carries around garbage in carts) STYLE. So we strapped the cardboard to my
trainer's luggage and then we took the big box and put it around my luggage.
Did we get weird looks? Yes. of course we did.
Lol me and
Sister Kim with this little angel boy statue before the beach and you can see the mosquito bites on my legs and on the face
but no worry, they are getting better.
