I can't believe I am already starting my fourth week here????? Time seems to be flying by but at the same time I still have five weeks left here? Sunday's devotional’s speaker was Richard I. Heaton and he invited people on the stand that have been converts for less than two years. People came up and shared their convert stories and it was amazing to hear how the gospel has changed their life for the best and how much God loves each and everyone of His children.
We had our first TRC lessons on Saturday, it was kind of scary at first. Sister Kim and I prayed about what to teach and we decided to teach about Christ like attributes. We settled on the theme of hope. Our first lesson was with a guy who returned from HK and was just learning mandarin because he felt like it. Our lesson with him didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked, but our second lesson went amazing!! I love TRC more than teaching our "investigators". Sister Kim and I are planning on taking naps today haha. We are always so tired. Also someone keeps mysteriously farting everywhere so it sometimes smells like you're being crop dusted 24/7.
Non spiritual stuff: We also think our room is haunted?????? Sister Johnson has taped up pictures on her wall and one day Sister Hansen saw that the picture was taken off the wall and stuck back on upside down. The next night sister Lim's closet slammed shut and we couldn't figure out what was happening or why it slammed shut. It shut with so much force it closed the drawer??? Everyone was freaking out but me being the winner I am went to bed after and slept like a rock. #winning.
Also Sister Lim was looking at this bag full of stuff on how to teach the Plan of Salvation and she saw this little white bug. She was like oh it's so cute it's like an albino ant. WRONG. Sister Cahoon was like that's a lice bug and proceeds to pick it up with this piece of paper and then accidentally drops it on the ground!!!!! Sister Lim, Sister Kim and I start freaking out and we run out of the room to grab cleaning supplies. So, Sister Lim is spraying antibacterial stuff on the floor like there's no tomorrow and I'm over here vacuuming the living daylights out of the floor and Sister Kim is over here dusting the dust out of the shelves. Our classroom has never been cleaner. The bag was on a shelf that was in the classroom so we don't know whose it belongs to. We have to wait and see what if we got it all cleaned up :-(
What adventures we had this last week!!
Love,
Sister Chao
