This week seemed to fly by! At first Sister Kim and I felt a
bit discouraged since one of our lessons didn't go as planned. We were asked to
teach a less active member (aka it was still one of our teachers) but we only
had 20 minutes to prepare a lesson with minimal information. But like I always
say, God always provides a way. Sometimes your lessons won't go the way you
want, but as long as the Spirit is with you in the lesson the people will get
something out of it.
Yesterday's devotional was awesome!!!!! I love devotionals!
We had the opportunity to hear from Brent H. Nielson of the Seventy and his
wife. Sister Nielson talked about trusting the Lord. She said that Heavenly
Father has been preparing us our whole lives. We just have to trust Heavenly
Father and trust that He will help us remember the things we need to in the
very moment you need it. Elder Nielson talked about how there has never been a
better time to live than today! He also pointed out three main things:
1. He whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies.
2. When you're on the Lord's errand, you are entitled
to His help! - "We have no fear!" if you have fear, faith
disappears. "Move forward with faith!" "Don't you know thy
Savior is with thee?"
3. "Remember Lott's Wife" - Elder Holland. Don't
look back! With the gospel we always look forward! This is a gospel of
forgiveness, of repentance, and of always looking forward.
And OFFICIALLY we have no lice cause the bug is not a lice :D
Love,
Sister Chao
